Platelet-Lymphocyte Ratio and Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio as Early Mortality Predictors for Patients with End-Stage Chronic Liver Disease

چکیده
Background: Chronic liver disease (CLD) often results in fatal complications. Child-Turcotte-Pugh (CTP) score is the earliest predictor of mortality but Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) more objective. Studies showed platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and neutrophil-lymphocyte (NLR) could become predictors chronic disease. We aimed to investigate NLR PLR as early CLD, comparison with CTP MELD scores. Method: This was a retrospective observational cohort study. recruited patients CLD (liver cirrhosis hepatocellular carcinoma), from Saiful Anwar Hospital, Indonesia. Data regarding PLR, NLR, CTP, scores were obtained medical records. Participants followed 30 days determine survival. Results: Ninety There 31 deaths (34.4%) days. Mortality higher HCC than cirrhosis. Although had similar sensitivity (51.6%), neither (p 0.956) nor 0.087) significantly better predict 0.001) or 0.002). In opposite positive correlation Conclusion: On contrary positively correlated severity disease, potential compared But not substitute both

Neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio and platelet‐to‐lymphocyte ratio as predictors of survival after heart transplantation
AIMS The aim of this study was to evaluate whether neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) predict outcome in heart failure (HF) patients undergoing heart transplantation (HTX). METHODS AND RESULTS Data from 111 HF patients undergoing HTX 2010-2015 were retrospectively reviewed. NLR and PLR were calculated before HTX, immediately after HTX, and at 6 and 24 ...
متن کاملThe evaluation of neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio and platelet to lymphocyte ratio in patients with rheumatoid arthritis with and without ocular complications
Background: Rheumatoid Arthritis patients are evaluated during treatment for various inflammatory factors such as C-reactive protein, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate, and Disease Activity Score, and other immune system-related factors. In the follow-up of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, hematologic factors associated with the immune system especially Platelet to Lymphocyte Ratio and Neutroph...
متن کاملNeutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio are Predictors of Heart Failure
BACKGROUND Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are inflammatory markers used as prognostic factors in various diseases. The aims of this study were to compare the PLR and the NLR of heart failure (HF) patients with those of age-sex matched controls, to evaluate the predictive value of those markers in detecting HF, and to demonstrate the effect of NLR and...
متن کاملPrognostic role of neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio and platelet–lymphocyte ratio for hospital mortality in patients with AECOPD
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) is one of the leading causes of hospitalization and is associated with considerable mortality, for which clinicians are seeking useful and easily obtained biomarkers for prognostic evaluation. This study aimed to determine the potential role of the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lympho...
متن کاملPredictive Value of Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet Lymphocyte Ratio in Patients with Coronary Slow Flow.
BACKGROUND Increased microvascular resistance due to chronic inflammation is assumed to be one of the mechanisms associated with coronary slow flow (CSF). Previous studies have shown that the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) are markers of inflammation for various diseases. In this study we aimed to evaluate the relationship between CSF and PLR-NLR. ...
